FUN, NEW Literacy Trail.
On August 28, 2025, the New York State Literacy Trail debuted in 10 New York State parks. Each park's adventure features a book that highlights the relationship between children, their communities, and the outdoors. The books were carefully selected and matched to the parks based on topics and special features of the parks. The idea is that each book will help promote early literacy and inspire children's imaginations through stories that illustrate the connection between childhood and the outdoors.
Be on the lookout for the Dear Provider Letter that was issued on August 28, 2025.

DIVERTIDO, NUEVO Sendero de lectura.
El 28 de agosto de 2025, se debutó el Sendero de lectura del Estado de Nueva York en 10 parques del Estado de Nueva York. La aventura de cada parque presenta un libro que destaca la relación entre los niños, sus comunidades y el aire libre. Los libros fueron seleccionados cuidadosamente y adaptados a los parques según sus temas y características especiales. Final 2025 "Active Supervision in Child Care" training date.
Don't miss out! There's only one date left for the first in the series, "Active Supervision in Child Care" training.
The class is available in English and Spanish from 1:00 PM - 2:15 PM on:
- Wednesday, September 10th
To receive 1.25 hours of training credit, you must register through your own ECETP account, attend the entire training and successfully complete the post-test by answering 7 out of 10 questions correctly.
Remember, it is important you pay attention during the training because you will ONLY have one chance to pass the test at the end. If you don't, you will need to register for another session and take the test then.

Para recibir 1.25 horas de crédito de capacitación, debe registrarse a través de su propia cuenta ECETP, asistir a toda la capacitación y completar con éxito el examen posterior respondiendo correctamente 7 de 10 preguntas.
