12/20/12 Emergency Preparedness Videoconference
Due to recent events in New York State ECETP has decided to share our most recent Videoconference- Emergency Preparedness.
Being prepared for emergencies ahead of time will allow you to remain calm so you can provide the best possible care for the children and families in enrolled in your program. During the 12/20/12 Videoconference, guests discussed general safety rules you should follow every day. They investigated the difference between evacuation and shelter-in-place situations and reviewed the plan you should have in place for each. Panelists also discussed how to communicate these plans with the families you provide care for– before and during the emergency situation.
Watch this Videoconference training to find out more about emergency preparedness in your child care program. Please note you will not receive training credit for this Videoconference unless you attended a site on 12/20/12. However, there is so much wonderful information in this training you will want to take advantage of this valuable resource and watch!
