The third edition of the Core Body of Knowledge

The NYC Early Childhood Professional Development Institute (PDI), in collaboration with the NYS Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC), has announced the completion of  the third edition of the Core Body of Knowledge.  This document outlines recommended practices for professionals working with young children. PDP encourages child care providers to use self-assessment tools available with the Core Body of Knowledge to reflect on their current practice and to plan future professional development activities in support of building mastery in the seven core competency areas.
